Because I had so much fun with Andie – my heroine in Andromeda’s Fall – I knew I had to make a hero who could match her feistiness.
A.J. is one of the Alpha’s Protectors in the Keller Dare. He’s also the one to catch Andie as she tries to break in to the Keller Compound. One of the scenes I had the most fun writing is their interaction when he catches her. A.J. is not going to just let Andie smart mouth him or get past him.
He finds out very quickly that Andie’s goal is to gain asylum with the Keller Dare and mate the Alpha to ensure her own safety. But he insists that she must prove herself to him and the other Protectors first before she can ever get to Jaxon Keller, the Alpha.
Meanwhile, Andie’s presence there, though secret for now, presents a political nightmare for the Alpha, and A.J. has his own secrets that will certainly complicate things. He must battle with conflicting desires to mate Andie himself and figuring out when or if to let her in on his secrets.
You’ll have to read to find out what happens next. Will A.J. confide his own secrets to Andie? Will he mate her or have to hand her over to the Alpha?
