I’d like to introduce you to Neely Powell, one of the terrific special guest authors who will be popping in to share during my Facebook party May 15th! Neely Powell is the awesome paranormal romance collaboration team of Leigh Neely and Jan Powell. They are also fellow Wild Rose Press authors! I know they’ll be sharing their paranormal romance True Nature and have lots of other fun planned!

About Neely Powell

We both knew we wanted careers that included creative thinking and writing. We met after a colleague introduced us at the radio station where we worked. When we discovered our husbands had been childhood friends, we knew this was going to be a special association. And that’s true to this day. We enjoy reading, writing, and cats. We became collaborators a little more than two years ago, and we haven’t looked back!

Leigh Neely

I dreamed of becoming a writer after sitting in the limbs of the mimosa tree in my front yard in Chattanooga, Tennessee, reading about the reporter, Nellie Bly. No matter where I’ve lived, I’ve learned about the area through my writings. As a reporter and then an editor, I enjoyed working for newspapers, magazines, and book publishers. I’ve interviewed such notables as the prolific Mary Higgins Clark, the wonderful Christian singer, Michael W. Smith, and actor Grant Goodeve, who was on “Eight is Enough.” I now live in Florida with my husband. We have three children and four grandchildren. Though we live far apart, once a year we all gather in Tennessee for a week’s visit.I continue to work as a freelance writer/editor with my company, The City Desk. I love writing fiction now, especially with paranormal elements, and I think you’ll love the shapeshifters, psychics, witches, and other characters in the series with fellow writer, Jan Powell.

Jan Powell

Once upon a time, I published romance novels for Silhouette and Avon Books under the pseudonym Celeste Hamilton. Several Celeste Hamilton titles are still available on Kindle and Nook (click on the Silhouette covers below). After 24 books, however, I abandoned the world of romantic fiction for the real-life drama of marketing, advertising and corporate communications. That’s still my day job, but the lure of fiction has claimed me again. This time, instead of Everyman heroes, I’m focusing on some paranormal elements –shapeshifters, witches, magic, ghosts and things that go bump in the night. I’ve always believed that there is only a thin veil between our everyday lives and the mystical realm. Life has also taught me that real monsters hide in plain sight. I hope you will join me and my dear friend and collaborator, Leigh Neely, as we explore new possibilities.
