What is NaNoWriMo?
November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). NaNoWriMo is also a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 p.m. on November 30. (So that’s word 1 to word 50,000 in one month.) Here’s some more info… http://nanowrimo.org/how-it-works.
My Project:
This is the first year I will be participating in NaNoWriMo. I will be pausing in the middle of writing Black Orchid (I know, I know. It *might* push out publication of that book by 1 month or so – but I’m trying to not let it.) I will be writing the first draft of Andromeda’s Fall – Book #1 in the Shadowcat Nation Series – and the follow on to Hannah’s Fate, my short story in the Here, Kitty Kitty Anthology.
Invite to My Readers:
Whoever wants to try this marathon month of novel writing with me, I will be happy to be your Buddy. It’s something you can set up on the NaNoWriMo website. As Buddies we will be there to encourage each other through this tough – but totally achievable – challenge.
If you accept my challenge/invite, go to NaNoWriMo.org and set up a profile. Then find me on the site and ask me to be a Buddy. Let me know if you have any trouble or questions.
