PRISM Awards Double Finalist | The Rogue King & The Rookie

I am thrilled to announce that BOTH The Rogue King (Inferno Rising #1) and The Rookie (Fire’s Edge #2) are finalists for the 2020 PRISM Awards in the Dark Paranormal Romance category!!!

The PRISM Award is a prestigious contest held annually by the fabulous Fantasy, Futuristic, & Paranormal (FF&P) chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA). The contest is for published paranormal romance authors in 8 paranormal romance categories, plus the ‘Best First Book’ and ‘Best Book’ awards. All books are judged by peers in the paranormal romance genre, which makes it that much more special to me.

This year, I was thrilled to learn that I’m a double finalist! This is the first time I’ve ever double finaled in anything. Holy smokes! On top of that, The Rookie is the second book in my Fire’s Edge series. While I’ve had a lot of lovely luck with awards for first books, I am even more thrilled to see a second book finaling, especially when The Boss (Fire’s Edge #1), placed 1st in Dark Paranormal Romance last year. All good things that I am celebrating today!

Winners are usually announced at the FF&P party during the RWA National Convention, however, due to COVID-19, that has been cancelled this year. Therefore, winners will be announced via a virtual award ceremony via Zoom sometime in July!

I was also thrilled to see the names of several friends and some of my favorite books of the year in the finalists list! Huge congrats to all the finalists in the various categories! And hooray!
