An Angel's Unintentional Entanglement - not preorder (1)Morning Abigail. I’m Mystic Rayne. Tena is running late and Caden is—“ She paused for a moment. “Indisposed. So I’m here to fill in. If that’s okay.”

“That’s fine. I’ll tweak the questions and we’ll go on.”

Abigail: “Tell us about you.”

Mystic grinned raising one eyebrow. “I’m a Bureau of Indian Affairs Agent assigned to the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Well really I work in a contract position now.”

Abigail: “Wow, that must be an interesting job.”

“Can be. But mostly it’s protecting the rights of the innocent and seeing that justice is served.  Kinda the liasion between my people and the system. They’ll talk to me when they won’t outsiders.  Sometimes it’s not easy.  Life on the Rez isn’t easy.”

Abigail: “Who were the biggest role models in your life?”

“My dad.  He was the tribe’s shaman and head of the tribal council. I was supposed to follow in his footsteps. I have the gift.” She sighed. “But rebelled. Went off to college then on to law school.  It wasn’t until after I graduated, passed the bar and took a position in a prestigious law firm that I discovered I wasn’t cut out for the legal system. Something my dad knew to begin with. He let me go, knowing I’d be back. Smart man. By the time I returned, he was ill. I learned what I could from him before he passed.” She shook her head. “So much time wasted.”

Abigail: “I’m sorry for your loss. Tell us how you met Caden.”

“After my dad passed, I was expected to take my place as shaman and head of the tribal council.  That’s when everything went so wrong. He saved my life.”

Abigail: “How so?”

“I’d been left for dead. He nursed me back to health, so as to speak.”

Abigail: “What surprised you most about Caden?”

She laughed. “Lots of things. He can work with anyone, even the Demon Overlord. There was this incident during our attendance of Phantom at Buell Theatre in the Denver Center of the Performing Arts.  You’d sworn that he and Bruce were best friends with the shenanigans they tried to pull. It was a fun night out and took the edge off. That’s all I can say.”

Abigail: “Aww come on, you gotta give us few savory tidbits.  Tena won’t mind.”

“Sorry. But you can read all about it in AN ANGEL’S UNINTENTIONAL ENTANGLEMENT.” She flashed a mischievous grin. “He’s an angel you know. That was quite a shock. I learned things about the angel hierarchy that made my head spin. Do you know the difference between a Warrior Angel and a White Angel?

Abigail: “I’m afraid I don’t.”

“All the more reason to pick up a copy of AN ANGEL’S UNINTENTIONAL ENTANGLEMENT. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Author, Tena Stetler waves as she enters the room.  “So what secrets did you spill, Mystic?”

“Not a one.” She smirked. “Your author friend sure did try though.”

Red patches bloomed on Abigail’s cheeks. “My job.”

Abigail: So Tena tell us a little about AN ANGEL’S UNINENTIONAL ENTANGLEMENT.

An exclusive peek between the pages of AN ANGEL’S UNINTENTIONAL ENTANGLEMENT:

Dislodged rocks and sticks bounced down the path ahead of him as he stopped to admire the view and noticed something in the brush.

She lay naked, battered, and beaten several yards off the trail. Her long, straight black hair fanned around her head, tangled with twigs and bits of grass.  Caden moved silently toward her, stopped, and picked up a Bureau of Indian Affairs ID a few feet from where she lay. He stuffed it in his pocket while watching the surrounding area for signs of her attackers. Kneeling down at her side, he saw scratches and bruises on her high-sculpted cheekbones and her full lips had a shading of blue around them. He placed his hand lightly on her chest, felt a weak heartbeat and sensed a brave soul unwilling to give up. God, this is the last thing I need.

Summoning medical help here was futile. The altitude at 12,092 feet, combined with rocky terrain, made it difficult for most rescue vehicles. They’d be too late to save her. He slid his hands under her body. At his touch, a scene unfolded in his mind of snarling wolves, the valiant fight she waged against a male until she was too weak to defend herself any longer, then blackness. Anger surged through him as he carried her along the rocky path to the fifth wheel trailer he called home.

Bio:

tena7 300-2Tena Stetler is a best-selling author of award winning paranormal romance novels. She has an over-active imagination, which led to writing her first vampire romance as a tween to the chagrin of her mother and delight of her friends. After many years as a paralegal, then an IT Manager, she decided to live out her dream of pursuing a publishing career.

With the Rocky Mountains outside her window, she sits at her computer surrounded by a wide array of witches, shapeshifters, demons, faeries, and gryphons, with a Navy SEAL or two mixed in telling their tales. Her books tell stories of magical kick-ass women and mystical alpha males that dare to love them. Well, okay there are a few companion animals to round out the tales. Travel, adventure and a bit of mystery flourish in her books.

Colorado is home; shared with her husband of many moons, a brilliant Chow Chow, a spoiled parrot and a forty-five-year-old box turtle. When she’s not writing, her time is spent kayaking, camping, hiking, biking  or just relaxing in the great Colorado outdoors. During the winter you can find her curled up in front of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate and a big bowl of popcorn.
