A huge thank you to my editor, Heather Howland, for helping me make these books so great, to my publisher Entangled for the amazing things you do, and to the readers who have been so supportive and kind!

Heavy lies the crown.
My twin sister is the true queen of Aryd. She survives, hiding and clinging to life in the desert, while I reign as the false queen alongside the monstrous King Eidolon. Thereโs only one escape from this gilded prison: Reven. My Shadowraith. My heart. Only the shadows that he struggles to control are growing more sinister, more powerful.
Itโs just a matter of time before they turn on himโฆand on me.
Even escape doesnโt mean true freedom, though, when weโre still on the run from Eidolonโs unstoppable armies. And when we discover thereโs a traitor among us, I have no choiceโฆI must become the queen I was never meant to be.
Because as one evil hunts me, the other loves me more than himself.
And my fate lies with both.

The boulder of dread that has been teetering over me since the second I left the zariphate drops, the weight of it threatening to crush me. โTell me.โ
Horus grimaces. โHe has to be in absolute darkness to hold Eidolonโs Shadows inside.โ
My legs go wobbly. Itโs bad. Worse than I thought. โTake me to him.โ
โNo wayโโ Cain cuts himself off with a grimace and lowers his voice. โI donโt think itโs safe. Heโsโโ
The flames of the candelabras around the room suddenly flicker, and then gloom consumes the room in a rush. Not total darkness but close.
โYouโre here, love.โ Revenโs deep-as-sin voice rumbles through me and around me.
โReven?โ I whisper as I stare at the shape of a man standing in the doorway.
As my eyes begin to adjust, I take in more details.
I catch a flash of eyes gone entirely black.
Not RevenโฆShadow.
Damnation.
Beside me, Horus makes a sound in the back of his throat and tries to get between us. Immediately, Shadowโs face contorts in a spasm of anger, and tendrils of darkness lash out at me like whips, so fast I donโt have time to do more than yelp. Fear lashing through me, Iโm dragged across the room, kicking and fighting the entire way, aware that more shadow is holding Horus and the others at bay.
I slam into Revenโs body. Shadowโs arms wrap tight around me, lifting me up so that my feet dangle above the ground.

Will you be doing the edging copy as you did with The Liars Crown? Cause I will be all over that if you do! This book is soooooo good! Bet you didn’t expect to be able to write fantasy so well! But I knew you could. I doubt there’s anything you can’t write. Well, maybe non-fiction. Or, who knows? You probably could write that too! LOL!
