It’s official, official now. The Publishers Marketplace announcement is out!

For those who aren’t aware, Publishers Marketplace is where the publishing industry announces all sorts of things (jobs, new editors, new lines, etc.). They especially announce new contracts/deals for books and series (about 50 a day from what I understand). The story telling industry (books, comics, film, TV etc.) pays attention because it gives them various insights–what’s trending/selling, possible projects for other media, who are making the deals, etc.
Not every book contract is announced in PM, but it’s not just the bigger deals either. It’s up to the agent and/or publisher to send in their announcement. I’ve had probably about 60% of my books announced this way.
What has me extra excited for this announcement, you ask?
- First, I am just super excited about this book. The idea was so fun to write and it just flew out of me!
- It was the “Deal of the Day” on April 1st (no foolin’) – I have NEVER been the deal of the day (gah!!!)
- This is the very first time I’ve had any foreign rights signed before the first book had already released in the US (to be able to include them in this announcement). The worldwide interest for GGP has been such an incredible ride!
So much gratitude for the entire Red Tower Books team, my editor Liz Pelletier, my agent Evan Marshall, Alliance Rights Agency who negotiated all the foreign rights, and all the publishers worldwide who have been so interested, supportive, and kind.

Congratulations! What a huge hurdle! We’re very very proud of you, all of your fans. I’m sure of it. I may only be able to speak for myself, but I’m sure everyone feels the same way. No I’m really anxious for it to come out! Lol!
Thank you so much Judi! That means the world to me. xo
