If you’ve followed me even about five minutes, you know I love my furbabies. You’ll probably have seen pictures of or heard me talk about our old dog, T-Bone.
Today T-Bone crossed the rainbow bridge to wait for us on the other side.
Years ago the vet discovered a heart condition and gave him about two years to live. That he lived eight more years is a miracle and we’re so glad of our extra time with him. He also survived a nasty bite from brown recluse, and jumping off our dining room table, and sneaking an entire bar of chocolate. He also survived the introduction of a puppy named Rex who became his best buddy. And he did all this with a happy-go-lucky attitude.
He lived a very long life, around 17 years (he was a rescue, so we’re not sure exactly). He was loved by everyone who met him. A goofball who was super laid back, he just wanted to be around his humans (and eat food and lie in the sun). He was happiest laying on the couch or the bed with us. He sounded like a toy airplane when he growled. And when he barked, which wasn’t often, he would do a full-body hop.
You’d better believe that T-Bone shows up in my books. All that love he gave and received captured in words.
We love you T-Bone. And we’ll see you in heaven when we get there. But life here while we wait will be a tiny bit harder without you.

😥💔 I’m so sorry. ❤️
