A Nation Moment of Remembrance

MEMORIAL DAY

A day set aside to remember those Americans who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in service to our country.

In 2000, the Congress declared a “National Moment of Remembrance”. On a voluntary basis, at 3:00 in the afternoon on Memorial Day, Americans are asked to stop whatever they are doing and observe a moment of remembrance and respect.

On a voluntary basis, set an alarm for 3:00 pm today (local time), and pay a silent time of tribute and thanksgiving, not only for the military members who have given their lives, but the innumerable police, firefighters, EMTs, etc. who have also died defending us from the daily dangers at home.
