Blue Violet Gets a Facelift

Blue Violet is the first book I ever finished, ever worked with an editor on, ever self-published, and it’s gotten a facelift!

Originally self-published in 2012, it (and the rest of the Svatura series) was contracted by The Wild Rose Press and published again in 2015. I can’t believe it’s already been five years and the rights have reverted back to me.

So I gave it this gorgeous new cover (designed by yours truly) and did a refresher round of edits. No major changes, just updating some of the language and editing out some bad habits I’ve since kicked as a writer.

I’d forgotten a lot of what was in this book and series, it had been so long. So it was a blast to get to relive it with these characters again.

Blue Violet is NEWLY AVAILABLE in it’s new, improved self-published format as of NOW! Check all ebook retailers. A print book should be available soon, and the rest of the series will follow, one a week, over the next four weeks.

When fairy tales turn into nightmares…

Ellie Aubrey has spent most of her unnaturally long life hiding her extraordinary abilities from the world. On the run from the pack of wolf shifters who murdered her family, she risks discovery in order to secretly watch over another group of similarly gifted people, determined they won’t suffer the same fate.

Alex Jenner has come home to protect his family from an unknown danger lurking in the woods. Suspicious of the new girl in town, he challenges Ellie in ways that will spark one of two possible outcomes: they’ll spontaneously combust, or she’ll lose control of the one power she’s fought so hard to contain.

In this fairy tale, the dragon the prince must slay is also the princess who holds his heart.

***This novel was previously published with a different cover and has undergone a re-edit. Things were added and changed, but the kissing still remains!

BLUE VIOLET is an amazing, don’t-you-dare-put-it-down, read…I found this book fresh, inventive and just darn good.
